The series of international mine closure conferences was initiated in 2006 by the Australian Centre for Geomechanics.

The conference series is a well recognised international forum that puts technical excellence first. These events provide industry professionals committed to responsible and sustainable mining with a unique opportunity to interact with their counterparts from different countries, and share ideas and experiences on innovations related to mine closure design, planning and operation.

Delegates from Australia and all over the world will be attending Mine Closure 2012 and we are expecting an excellent attendance, particularly given that the Mine Closure 2011 Conference held in Canada in 2011 was fully subscribed with more than 600 mine closure professionals attending.
